Waiuku Primary Rugby World Cup Opening Ceremony

What a fantastic effort everyone put in to dressing up. Room 6 were given Scotland so there was blue and while everywhere and the odd bit of tartan thrown in. Very proud of Joseph as he made a fabulous Scotsman and ended up winning the overall junior prize and he scored himself a goody bag.

On Monday we wrote recounts about the ceremony. Here are some of them-

On Friday room 6 went to the hall to see the Rugby World Cup opening ceremony. Our class was dressed as Scotland. Scotland's colours are blue and white. Jack

On Friday afternoon last week there was a Rugby World Cup opening ceremony. First we sang the National Anthem. Then the cheerleaders did their dance. Next the other dancers went. After that they did the haka and Levi said the words to the song. Thoen we walked around the hall and Tom ran around the hall with the flag. We were Scotland. Finally we came to class. Brianna

Last week on Friday the whole school went to the hall for the opening ceremony of the Rugby World Cup. First we sang the National Anthem. Then we saw the year 0's. They looked fantastic. They dressed in red and white. After we saw the year 2's. They put stripes on themself and Hunter put them all over himself. He looked funny. Later we went. It was fun because we get to slap hands. It kept going round and round. Finally we sang songs and Tom ran aound three or four times. It was funny. Cheyenne

The Learning Trophy

We have so many awesome learners in Room 6. It is hard to pick just one but that's just what Miss Y had to do last week. Kairyn is new to our school this term but from the day he started he has stood out as a K4's kid. He always gets on with his work, completing tasks in time. He is very helpful, a good role model and a great friend. Well done. Awesome achievement.
