Hannah's Hairy MacLary Show Recount

On Tuesday room 5 and 6 went to the Hairy Maclary show. First room 6 and 5 had morning tea. Then the classes went into the Pumphouse theatre and sat down. Next we watched the show. After, room 5 and room 6 had lunchtime. Later the classes went to the Botanic Gardens. It was awesome and we ate flowers. They tasted like butter. In the end room 5 and room 6 went on the bus to Waiuku. When we got back to school we went home. It was the coolest day ever.

On Tuesday room 5 and 6 went on a bus to see the Hairy Maclary show. First we had morning tea. Then we went in and we put our bags on the seat. Next we sat down in the theatre. After the show started it was cool because Scarface Claw was furious and black. I liked him. Later we went to the Botanical Gardens and we saw a peacock. Finally we went to the vegetables. One of them smelled like bongela.

Talia's Dylan Elise Show Recount

Last Tuesday we went to watch Dylan Elis drumming at the hall. He did lots of music. He did rock music and jazz music. Dylan has a sister called Hannah and she plays the base guitar. When the teachers danced it was so funny and silly. Next Dylan did some tricks. He threw his stick in the air and spun his stick. He played funky music and latin music. Soon we went back to our class.

Jackson's Dylan Elise Drum Show Recount

Last Tuesday most of the school went to the hall to watch Dylan Elise play the drums. He told us rhythm and co-ordination was special. He played the hi-hat and the brushes. At the end he said “live your dreams”. Hannah, Dylan’s sister played the base guitar. He used a data projector for the big screen. It was funny when his sister took a picture of him and he poked his own nose on the big screen. Then it went back to normal.

More Fabulous Achievements in Room 6

Hannah takes great pride in the presentation of all her work. It looks awesome. Abby gets up and 5 a.m. to read and that might be why she is zooming up the reading rocket, so is Ashton. Joseph is a super responsible sports monitor and Jackson has been sharing his expert knowledge of comic life and patiently teaching others how to use it. Amelia got two certificates, one was for being the top ASB banker in our school and the other was for improvement in reading. Jack had two as well. One was for reading and the other was for his fantastic singing when we do the National Anthem in assembly. He is a proud kiwi. Keep up the awesome work room 6.
